The 4 S's

Sweet, salty, sour, and spicy that is. Lately our kids have been using the way wrong s word to describe their food. Such as calling salty pretzels sweet, or a spicy asian noodle dish sour. SO we decided to have a family lesson on the 4 s's and do taste tests with each. At the end we did a blind taste test to double check they got it. The result was pretty funny, and hopefully the kids have learned their s's.

Easter

Easter was a fun filled Sunday! The kids were excited to see what the Easter Bunny had left in their baskets! And were extra excited for the egg hunt. And yes Timmy is using a trick or treat pumpkin for his egg hunt...I couldn't find the 3rd bucket so we improvised. It didn't seem to bother him. After getting all sugared up we got everyone changed and went to church. The kids were all excited to wear their new sunglasses on the way to church...they look so cool. After church we dressed back down and headed out back for the confetti eggs. All and all a wonderful holiday!

Timmy's 2 Year Bday Pictures

So just like with Jimmy, over a month late...but hey better late than never.

Addy's Haircut

Addy's gone from super long to fairly short! She is ready for summer! As much as I love Addy's hair it has become such a daily battle. So we chopped it today and the end result is a low maintance hair style. What do you think???

Blankets...

How is it that a simple thing such as a blanket can provide sooooo much entertainment for Kids? Today Timmy & Addy had so much fun with the blankets in the gameroom. They made tents, they rolled around in them (making little tacos of themselves), they laid there on the floor requesting that I just shake the blanket out over them over and over again, they tried to drag each other around on them like it was a sley ride. So many things they did with these simple blankets. It was truly a glimpse into the carefree world of childhood.

Timmy and the blocks...

This morning Timmy was very excited to play blocks... He built his tower so tall and as you can see was rather proud of himself... but then He reached to add one more, and it all collapsed. So of course He went into little boy destructo mode and ripped the thing apart. Blocks were flying every which way. All and all I'd say He had fun!

Pretty and Yummy too!

I made these cupcakes for our play group yesturday. I thought they came out pretty cute!
You take a cupcake, apply a thin layer of white icing, sprinkle on some green coconut (put plain coconut in a bag and add a few drops of food coloring and shake) for the "grass", then add a candy for the "eggs". I use the easter speckled m&m's.
