FUN FUN FUN

What a FUN weekend! On Saturday morning we all headed to Lowe's for the Build & Grow Clinic...lots of noise and lots of fun! 30 minutes and 3 glow in the dark skeletons later we were off. Here are a few shots:

The kids really LOVE doing these projects at Lowe's every other Saturday, and we LOVE that they are free. If you haven't tried them yet, you should try it out! Next is a pumpkin. https://www.lowesbuildandgrow.com/

Saturday Evening we hosted our first ever House Party, and had tons of FUN at it. Unfortunately I spaced and didn't take any pictures. Anyways, it was lots of fun, with lots of food, friends, and a great game too (thanks Rick)! We were hosting a Barilla Piccolini party, so we had pasta, salad & bread. Oh and very tasty pumpkin bars (thanks Jerusha)! We did 4 pasta dishes and the most popular (with the adults anyways) was this one:

Piccolini® Mini Fusilli with Creamy spinach and Chicken
Ease of preparation: easy
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4-6

Ingredients
1 box Piccolini® Mini Fusilli

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon onion, finely chopped

1 pound chicken breast, cubed

1 bag (6 ounces) baby spinach, cut in strips

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

to taste salt to taste freshly ground black pepper

BRING a large pot of water to a boil.HEAT oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion and saute for 3 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high.ADD chicken; season with salt and pepper. Cook chicken for an additional 3 minutes.ADD spinach and cream, reduce heat and simmer mixture for 5 minutes.Meanwhile, COOK Mini Fusilli according to the package directions. Drain and toss with the sauce.STIR in grated cheese before serving .

Definitely worth trying out! I was even surprise by it, because I don't typically like food with spinach in it. So if you haven't checked out house party before...you should! Here is a link: http://www.houseparty.com/

It's really neat, you apply to parties that interest you, and hope you get picked. Then if you get picked they ship you a box full of fun stuff for the party, including party favors for the guests! We received pasta, coupons for free jars of sauce, a music cd, a frommer's Italy guide, an Italian ideas magazine, wine glass charms (didn't use but still cool), and for party favors: kitchen timers, hackey sacks, story books, and more coupons. So we had a great experience with house party, and hope to get picked again in the future!

So like I said we had FUN FUN FUN!
